The Gateway School of Mumbai (GSoM) is a K-12 school for children with learning difficulties, founded in collaboration with the renowned Gateway Schools of New York (USA). In recognition of Gateway’s contribution to the fields of teaching and educational leadership, it has been recognized as an Ashoka Changemaker School, and is also a learning site for fellows from the Indian School Leadership Institute and Teach For India.
A2Q has been collaborating with GSoM to develop a vision statement that reflects the interests of all its stakeholders and develop monitoring, evaluation & strategic planning protocols that enable the school to constantly assess itself against critical milestones and systematically plan its development.
Held the school’s first Outreach Evaluation meeting where data from the school’s various outreach initiatives was analyzed.
Created Monitoring & Evaluation framework, protocols, and implementation plan in consultation with GSoM leadership.
Led a vision building exercise with school leaders where insights from student, team member, and parent interviews were used to create a vision statement and logic model for the school.
Led a strategic planning exercise where all 16 leaders of the school analyzed data from the needs assessment and created a strategic plan for the school’s development.
Conducted a comprehensive needs assessment to assess the nature and effectiveness of Gateway’s current systems and practices, in relation to their vision and long-term goals.
